Individual Therapy
Individual therapy includes many modes of therapeutic intervention, but emphasizes relational work with a cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) approach. Over the course of your lifetime, you will likely encounter periods of significant change that may result in distress. Psychotherapy is often beneficial in helping individuals cope and heal from these life events. I value the relationship between the therapist and the client and my goal is that all individuals are left feeling supported and validated, so that they can begin to heal and move forward.
Couples Therapy
Couples therapy focuses exclusively on issues that affect your partner relationship dynamic, such as going through major life transitions, such as becoming parents, parenting issues, improving communication, couples dealing with loss, grief and postpartum adjustments. The sessions are designed to process feelings and realign the relationship so it becomes a source of support and strength.
Infertility, Perinatal & Postpartum Mental Health
‘Perinatal Mental Health’ refers to a woman’s mental health while trying to conceive, during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. While this can be a time of joy, it is also often a time of high stress, intense emotions and overwhelming feelings. It can also be a time of coping with grief and loss. Up to 20% of women experience Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMAD), including Postpartum Depression – and up to 75% of women experience “Baby Blues.”
